Most recently the Mike Weir Foundation has shifted focus to providing supports for youth mental health through Youth Wellness Hubs of Ontario (YWHO). The Sarnia-Lambton YWHO is the first site to pilot activity programming as part of a care model.
Inspiring Moments
2004
The foundation was established and the first donation went to Bluewater Health, the local hospital from Mike Weir’s home town.
2007
In 2007, the Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive For Kids raised $6.7 million that benefitted the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across Canada.
2018
The Mike Weir Foundation donated 1.5 million to help bring a much needed Youth Wellness Hub to Mike’s hometown.
2023
In 2023, Weir Active opened its doors to include a physical activity component as part of the Youth Wellness Hubs of Ontario Sarnia Lambton site.
2025
In 2025, The Mike Weir Foundation pledged $1,000,000 to the Sarnia BACE, a new multi-use recreational facility in Sarnia Lambton. The facility ensures access to physical activity for all ages, especially youth.
